Reading FC have just a TWO per cent chance of being relegated this season.

That's according to the experts at fivethirtyeight who have assessed each team's chances of beating the drop.

Royals are three places above the bottom three as it stands and five points ahead of Barnsley who are in 22nd position.

And although Reading are expected to win just one of their final three games that is set to be enough for survival.

Paul Clement's side take on Sheffield Wednesday (away), Ipswich Town (home) and Cardiff City (away) in their remaining matches.

They are predicted to finish on 46 points, two ahead of Bolton Wanderers (44) and three more than Birmingham City (43).

Barnsley, Burton Albion and Sunderland - who are all currently in the bottom three - are forecast to go down to League One.

fivethirtyeight makes its predictions based on a whole range of statistics to evaluate teams' displays.

These are split in to offensive and defensive ratings for each side, which are then used to calculate results.
